Job Title: Cardiovascular Technologist I – Cath Lab
Location: Austell, GA
Work Type: Onsite
Shift Details:
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• On-call: Friday – Sunday, once every 4 weeks
Job Responsibilities:
• Assist physicians during cardiovascular Cath Lab and EP procedures
• Train to perform monitoring, scrubbing, and circulating roles
• Prepare patients and procedure rooms for cardiovascular procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and patient safety standards
• Prepare and maintain necessary supplies and equipment
• Verify patient identification, orders, consents, and procedural requirements
• Maintain accurate Cath Lab records and documentation
• Support inventory management and departmental workflow
• Participate in on-call responsibilities after appropriate orientation and competency validation
Required Skills:
• Basic knowledge of cardiovascular Cath Lab or electrophysiology procedures
• Knowledge of patient positioning, radiation protection, and exposure factors
• Basic understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and coronary heart disease
• Knowledge of EKG interpretation, hemodynamics, and EP equipment preferred
• Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Additional Information:
• Cath Lab experience is preferred but not mandatory
• Candidates will receive training on facility-specific Cath Lab and EP procedures
• On-call rotation is approximately once every 4 weeks, Friday through Sunday
• Must maintain current BLS/ACLS certifications
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma/GED required
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Health Science preferred
• Radiologic Science program preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical setting
• BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification required or obtainable within 180 days
• Cath Lab experience preferred
