Job Responsibilities:
• Perform CT examinations according to department protocols
• Obtain patient history and assess for contraindications
• Administer contrast media safely and accurately
• Prepare and position patients for CT procedures
• Review CT/radiographic images for diagnostic quality
• Operate CT scanners and power injectors
• Maintain radiation safety and infection control standards
• Complete accurate documentation and quality control activities
• Maintain studies in RIS/PACS and ensure timely image submission
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations
• Maintain competency in venipuncture and sterile technique
Required Skills:
• Strong knowledge of CT imaging, anatomy, pathology, and radiation protection
• Competency in patient positioning and exposure factors
• Experience operating CT equipment and power injectors
• Knowledge of PACS/RIS systems
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and attention to detail
Additional Information:
• Hospital-based CT position
• Weekend Night Shift
• Must be flexible with department needs
• Must be competent in all aspects of CT imaging and radiation safety
• Takes call when necessary
Required Qualifications:
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
• ARRT (Radiography) Certification
• ARRT (Computed Tomography) Certification
• Current BLS Certification
• Minimum 1 year of Radiology experience required
• CT experience preferred
