## About the role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Labor & Delivery (L&D) in Austin, TX. This on-site role supports mothers and newborns through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care in a high-acuity hospital setting.
## Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for laboring patients and newborns
- Monitor fetal and maternal status; recognize and escalate complications
- Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries as assigned
- Administer medications and document accurately in the EHR
- Educate patients and families on labor progress, pain management, and postpartum care
- Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians, midwives, and multidisciplinary teams
## Requirements
- Active RN license (Texas or compact)
- Labor & Delivery experience preferred (1+ years)
- BLS certification required; NRP preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
